Alder
Three wood-fired saunas and a ladder into the fjord, ten minutes from Oslo S. We built a site that feels like a visit: you start at the stove and scroll down into cold water.

A page that cools down as you scroll
Alder is a floating bathhouse in Bjørvika with three saunas, a ladder into the fjord and a pier kitchen. Most people who find them have never been to a public sauna. The site had to show what heat and cold feel like, explain a visit and get people to a booked time.
Temperature runs the whole design. The type is a variable font, and its width follows the degrees: wide and heavy at 84°, narrow and light at the fjord. The hero is a WebGL scene where steam and heat haze over the stove freeze into an ice hole as you scroll, and the big ALDER wordmark swells near the cursor. The saunas scroll sideways with live temperatures. In Utsikt you wipe a fogged window with the cursor and it slowly steams up again. A planner draws the visit as a temperature curve, today's sessions sit on the sun's real path over Oslo, the fjord section ripples where you touch it, prices hang as locker keys that swing, and the footer wordmark floats on moving water.
